@jw07,
Thanks, I'll watch that one with my still-in wife ;-)
this is just meant to be a fun topic.. what are some tv and movie snippets that summarize the conformity and extremism of watchtower life in general?.
i found this trailer for the giver to be dead on :-).
it shows what happens when you start to openly question the organization and its policies.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etspwr5deek&feature=youtu.be.
@jw07,
Thanks, I'll watch that one with my still-in wife ;-)
just as i think my loathing for the jw cult has peaked, it goes higher and higher.
i wish this cult would just go away.
i wish my wife would just wake up.
@tornapart
Maybe your husband should watch the broadcasts. Or even better, you could drop some comments on them.
No better way to wake up...
i have been perplexed as to how to brung my wife out of jws and to exit the religion... but i had an idea last night.
i know that elders will legitimantly meet with brothers who have doubts and encourage them... not df them .. this is a sheperding call etc.. thus since my wife knows i have doubt s i could say: i want to have two brother over to discuss this ... she will agree.... of course i will hit these guys with biblical textual issues, an biology to where they are stunned and still ask... "so brothers... can you solve this conflict...?".
in this case they will not think of me as an apostate but may question their own beliefs... .
Thanks for the update!
You're a lucky guy it turned out quite OK with your wife...
a gilead student from thailand.
a young thai girl who came to new york to attend the gilead school in upstate south lansing, new york, had a mental breakdown.
staff members pleaded with president knorr to send her home by plane, under supervision.
@Makemeanunbeliever,
Yes, apparently you have two choices in this:
i came across this novel way of preaching on facebook.
probably one of the easier ways to get your hours in.. https://www.facebook.com/jwbrothers.org/videos/538251706351890/.

Some with 'weak conscience' will write letters to Santa....er I mean the holy GB:
Are these brothers allowed to play music while preaching with a cult cart?
What's next, juggling bibles ffs?
And then a BOE or item in the CLAM will follow:
Some of our brothers have made creative use of heavenly music while preaching the good news.
While it is true that Jehovah's worshippers have used music to praise Jehovah throughout the ages, it is not appropriate to use music while preaching.
Why not?
First, the music distracts from our beautiful literature trolley, and might negatively effect the apathetic reaction from the public.
Second, playing music brings undue attention to the person performing the music, while this attention should be on the faithful and discreet slave.
Third, the only approved way to bring praise to Jehovah using music is in the kingdumb hell.
Also note that just a single piano is not acceptable for our holy worship, as we are now using orchestral arrangements.
Note to BOE, don't read to Congo:
DF all suckers who continue to play unapproved kingdumb music. Also let us know so we can serve a cease-and-desist and sue them for monetary damages on our copyrighted music.
just as i think my loathing for the jw cult has peaked, it goes higher and higher.

it is now thought that we have been interbreeding with neanderthals as early as 100,000 years ago.. http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-35595661.
craziest thing i just realized: some women still breed with neanderthals up to this day.
rihanna and chris brown anyone?.
@Viva.....smile ;-)

Hmmm just wondering now.
Apparently we share 50% of our DNA with banana's, and only 1%-10% with Neanderthalers.
What have women been doing???
@half banana
Lol, indeed. Know I know why I was never invited on the propaganda committee.
But this 'true science corresponds with our prehistoric storybook' makes me puke every time....

Science article Watchtower style:
Where were Adam and Eve created?
The Bible is the best evidence that the first humans were created in the Middle East.
But many evolutionists want to believe that humans originated in Africa.
Do the facts show their beliefs are correct?
Dr Sergi Castellano, from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, in Germany, said about the importance of this issue: "It is significant for understanding the history of [...] humans [...]."
What do the facts show about the location of first humans?
Previously some have "suggested that humans [...] migrated out of Africa and began to spread around the world.
As they left the continent, they [...] lived across Europe and Asia."
However, speaking about human presence in continents other than Africa, a scientist comments:
"The latest finding suggests otherwise. [This] was happening thousands of years earlier."
In fact, humans were nowhere to be found in Africa in the earliest human history.
Speaking about giving birth to children, the same scientist comments that the evidence shows that "early humans were [...] doing so outside of Africa because our close relatives were not found there."
"And this means that [raising families in Africa] took place at least [many] years later."
Since humans were in Africa 'later', they must have been on other continents 'earlier'.
Clearly this proves that human migration started in the Garden of Eden, not in Africa
"The functional significance of this is unclear at the moment," said Dr Castellano. "However, the findings do shed more light on the history of human migration."
If scientists are unclear about how to interpret the available evidence, how can they pretend to be able to reject God's all-knowing wisdom?
Commenting on the study Prof Chris Stringer, research leader in human origins, from the Natural History Museum in London, said: "[...]we really don't know how widespread [...] early [...] humans might have been in the regions between Arabia and China at this time."
He added: "At the moment we simply don't know [...] the possibilities [...]. [We] will need a lot more data before that becomes possible."
Yes, those who are blinded by Satan want to believe lies about human origins that are contradicted by the evidence.
But True Christians accept the abundantly available evidence that shows Adam and Eve were created in the Middle East, and reject the satanic propaganda of those opposing biblical truth.
And again science shows the Bible to be correct!
